Tipperary Mini Marathon Women’s Virtual 10k

International AFLW player and Dual County Player Orla O Dwyer Launches the 2021 Tipperary Mini Marathon Women’s Virtual 10k
Tipperary Sports Partnership are delighted to announce that this year’s Tipperary Mini Marathon Women’s Virtual 10k will take place over the weekend 25th-26th September 2021 and will take place during European Week of Sport. Cashel Native and International women's AFLW player and dual County player Orla O Dwyer took time out from her training to launch this year’s event.

Women On The Water

This is a fun and exciting way to get out and about on the River Suir to explore your local area. These taster sessions are of introductory level and operate under the guidance of qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors.
Course will take place at the Community Sports Hub, Suir Island, Clonmel.
Starts: Thursday 12th August 2021
Time 6.30pm-8.30pm

Adult Beginner Kayak Course

Come and join us for a 6 week Adult Beginner Kayak Course. Discover the beauty of the River Suir, learn a new skill and enjoy the outdoors, while having lots of fun and laughs on the water.
The course will run for 6 weeks, every Wednesday from 21st July to 25th August from 6.30pm-8.30pm. Sessions and Trips are run by Fully Qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors.
Course will take place at the Suir Island, Clonmel.

Our Summer Kayak Camp will take place 12th-16th July and 19th-23rd July . This programme will take place over 5 days for a duration of 2.5 hours each day either in the morning or the afternoon. This will allows you ample time to get to grips with this amazing sport and enjoy the stunning surroundings of the River Suir. All equipment is supplied all you need to do is turn up and have a good time. Participants will learn the fundamental movements of kayaking and journeying along the River Suir

Let's Walk Tipperary

“Tipperary Sports Partnership in association Siul Eile are facilitating an 8 Week Walking Programme in 2 locations in Co.Tipperary Cashel and Roscrea. These walks will take place in Cashel on Wednesday nights and Thursday nights in Roscrea at 7.30pm commencing on 19th & 20 May 2021. The walks will allow you to walk with a group at your own pace and enjoy a new route each night with the distance starting at 4km and small increases each week.

Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating a Child Welfare and Protection in Sport Basic Awareness Workshop. This workshop is aimed at sports leaders, Children's Officers, parents or anyone working with young people in sport.
A central goal for all those involved in sport for young people is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children can develop and enhance their physical and social skills.

Active School Week 2021

#ASW21 encourages schools and homes to work together to help more children and young people gain more active minutes every day. National #ASW21 takes place 26th - 30th April, but if those dates don’t suit your school, you are free to choose a different week, later in the term.

Older Adult Virtual Exercise Class

Tipperary Sports Partnership are holding an 8 week Older Adult Virtual Exercise class twice a week for 1 hour each day. This class incorporates
• muscular strength,
• cardio,
• core strength,
• balance,
• flexibility and Co-ordination.

It will help to increase your strength, with joint mobility, improve bone density, with balance, with co-ordination with functional movement for independent living.

All you need is a broom handle and two water bottles/tin of beans .

Tipp Tik Tok Dance Challenge

Tipperary Sports Partnership supported by Dancing with the Stars Contestant and Tipperary native Dayl Cronin is excited to announce a new Tipp Tik Tok Challenge.

The challenge will be a dance routine and by participating there is a chance for prizes to be won by Tipperary based schools, sports clubs and youth groups.

The challenge dance video will be launching this Friday the 26th March and entries can be submitted up until the 30th April 2021.

Safeguarding 2 - Club Children’s Officer

A person appointed to the Club Children’s Officer position in a club must have completed safeguarding 1 (Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness workshop) and should complete the NEW Club Children’s Officer 3 hour workshop. This course will help the Club Children’s Officer to carry out the function of their role in the club and support the implementation of best practice in the club. Club Children's Officers should be child centered in focus and have as the primary aim the establishment of a child centered ethos within the club.

Cardio Kick Class

Tipperary Sports Partnership is holding an online Cardio Kick Class as part of their Women’s DIY fitness programme. The 6 week programme starts on Tuesday 23rd February at 7pm for1 hour. This class is a cardio based full body workout with a mixture of kicking techniques, punching techniques and is suitable for all abilities. No equipment is needed.

Beginners Rise and Shine Yoga Class

Tipperary Sports Partnership is holding an online Beginners Rise and Shine Yoga class as part of their Women’s DIY fitness programme. The 6 week programme starts on Monday 22nd February at 8.00am for1 hour. This class is designed to wake up the body and mind for the day by using different postures and movements to help increase flexibility, strength, while also quieting and calming a busy mind. The class will be done online via zoom in the privacy of your home by a qualified tutor.

OT 2021 How-to-film-yourself for the virtual 5k

Thank you and welcome to the OT Virtual 5K! We can’t wait to see how you get on participating in one of the largest ever virtual events in Ireland, and for us to see you as you run your individual route, we’ll need your help with capturing that on camera.
