September promotion with Cara

Cara Sport Inclusion Ireland are running a September promotion of the Sports Inclusion Disability Charter.
*Any organisation that signs the Charter in September will be entered into a draw to win a free Cara training workshop for 20 people.
Courses available are Disability Inclusion Training or Autism in Sport.
*This offer is only applicable to organisations/clubs who have not yet signed the Charter.

Let's Get Tipperary Town Walking
Tipperary Sports Partnership in association with Suil Eile are facilitating Lets Get Tipperary Town Walking.
This Walking Programme will start on Monday 3rd October at 7.30pm.
The Meeting Point for the first walk is Canon Hayes Recreation Centre.
The walks will be lead by a qualified walking tutor.
It allows walking with a group at your own pace and enjoy a new route each night.
The Walking programme starts at 4km with small increases each week finishing up with a distance of 8.5km.

We fully understand the importance of volunteers, yet have we made Volunteer Recruitment and Retention a complex issue? Are we overthinking it?
Tipperary Sports Partnership is delighted to partner with the Tipperary Volunteer Centre and invites you to our upcoming online training.
This 2-hour interactive session on Wednesday September 28th at 7.30pm will cover implementing a sustainable volunteer programme at your club.

Aqua Fit is A Water-Based Exercise Programme that caters for all Levels And Abilities. It combines fun and exercise.
The programme is for older adults and the cost of the programme is €25 plus booking fee
The coached session will take place on Thursday starting on 6th October 2022
Time: 10:00am

Vacancy for Community Sports Development Officer with Tipperary Sports Partnership

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position:

Community Sports Development Officer (12 month contract)
(based in Tipperary Sports Partnership, Ballingarrane House, Clonmel) (Garda Vetting applies to this position. Salary Scale: €29,546 - €47,435 (2nd LSI)

Starting pay for all new entrants will be at the minimum of the scale

Sport Ireland launches €2,000,000 'Sport for All' Disability Supports Club Fund.
Closing date for applications from NGBs to Sport Ireland is September 1st, 2022.
Clubs can apply for funding of between €1,000 and €5,000 to support the following areas:
1. Disability Supports Education & Training
2. Disability Supports Programme Activation and Delivery
3. Disability Supports Small Scale Equipment and Infrastructure.

TSP Swimmin Women 8 Week Swimming Programme
Are you ready for a challenge for 2022?
Looking for something to help you get fit, improve your ability in water.
Why not join up for the 8 Week Swimmin Women Programme.
This programme will be running in 6 Pools across Tipperary.
This is an excellent programme to make you a better swimmer or get back into the water if you haven't had a chance in a while.
All participants must be able to swim 2 full lengths of a 25m pool.

Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating a Child Welfare & Protection in Sport Basic Awareness Training. The course is aimed at sports leaders, children’s officers, parents or anyone working with young people in sport. A central goal for all those involved in sport for young people is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children can develop and enhance their physical and social skills.

Badminton Taster Session for Adults

Tipperary Town Community Sports Hub and Badminton Ireland are delighted to announce a Badminton Taster Session for Adults. This event is sold out.

The programme is for 6 weeks and no previous experience is required. Benefits include

Bike Week 2022

Bike Week 2022 takes place from May 14th to 22nd

Following a hugely successful Bike Week 2021, plans are back in motion to organise the week-long celebration of cycling throughout Tipperary for 2022.
Tipperary Bike Week is an integral part of the overall National Bike Week initiative and is coordinated locally by Tipperary Sports Partnership.

Tug of War. Pulling your Community together.

Tug of War Ireland (TOWI) is the National Governing body for Tug of War in the Republic of Ireland. They have just launched a new community initiative in line with their Strategic Plan to try to promote tug of war within communities. In the interests of supporting this initiative they have also launched funding for these new community clubs once set up, terms and conditions apply.

2022 National Grant Scheme for Sport and Physical Activity for Older People

The 2022 National Grant Scheme for Sport and Physical Activity for Older People is now open for applications.

The 2022 National Grant Scheme aims to assist in the implementation of locally developed, well planned initiatives designed to increase participation in recreational sport and physical activity by older people.

Grants are available to all eligible local clubs, groups and organisations that promote increased participation in recreational sport or physical activity for older people as a main element of their activities.

Thank you and welcome to the OT Virtual 5K! We can’t wait to see how you get on participating in one of the largest ever virtual events in Ireland, and for us to see you as you run your individual route, we’ll need your help with capturing that on camera. Not everyone will have someone in their bubble that can film them while they’re walking or running their 5K, so clink on the link below for some tips as to how to best film your experience and share that footage with us.
