Swimmin' Women Midlife Aquatic Programme.

Tipperary Sports Partnership in conjunction with Swim Ireland are facilitating a 5 week Women's Swimming & Aqua Aerobics Programme at the Ballina Riverside Pool.
This programme starts on on Wednesday June 14th at 7pm.
Participants should be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool to participate on this programme.

Vacancy for Sports Development Officer - 12 Month Contract

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position:

Community Sports Development Officer (12 month contract)
(based in Tipperary Sports Partnership, Ballingarrane House, Clonmel)

Starting pay for all new entrants will be at the minimum of the scale

Depending on the number of applications received for the above post, shortlisting of candidates may be necessary. Shortlisting will be based on the information on your application form. A panel may be formed from which vacancies arising during the lifetime of the panel may be filled

Activator Taster Session.

Tipperary Sports Partnership are hosting a free Activator Taster Session - A Walk in the Park at Fethard Town Park
This session takes place on Wednesday May 31st from 11am to 1pm.
This session promotes: Strength, mobility, balance and aerobic fitness
It is also an excellent tool for pre/post hip or knee surgery
The session will be delivered by a specialised tutor and activator poles will be provided.

Couch To Peak

Tipperary Sports Partnership in association with Siul Eile are facilitating Couch to Peak Trail walking in the Glen of Aherlow area.
The programme will begin on Monday 15th of May 2023 and will be held twice per week for 10 weeks.
Participants will meet on Mondays and Thursdays and will explore 20 different walking trails culminating in the final hike being to the top of Galtymore.
First Meeting Point on Monday 15th May is Lisvarrinane Community Centre 7.30pm.

First Aid Course for Sports Clubs (REC 1)

Tipperary Sports Partnership are delighted to facilitate a First Aid Course for Sports Clubs (REC 1).
This course is designed to provide first aid skills to people working or operating in a rural/remote and sports environments.
REC 1 will provide participants with the lifesaving skills, knowledge and confidence to deal with first aid in realistic sport settings.
This course will cover: Health Safety and Welfare, Principles of First Aid, Vital Signs, Basic Body Organs and Function, Safety, Casualty Care,

Niall O'Sullivan from Clonmel Athletics Club named as Tipperary 2022 Volunteer in Sport Awards

The Federation of Irish Sport recently celebrated the winners of the 2022 Volunteers in Sport Awards proudly supported by the National Network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships.
The special guest speaker at the awards Thomas Byrne, Minister of State with responsibility for Sport & Physical Education, presented the recipients from each county with a custom-made medal recognising their amazing dedication to volunteering across a variety of different sports.

This is an opportunity to both meet new people or bring friends along to exercise in a social setting

Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards - Tipperary Recipient Announced

Niall O’Sullivan named the 2022 county Tipperary recipient of the federation of Irish sport volunteers in sports awards- supported by the national network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown on March 22nd 2023.

The Federation of Irish Sport have announced the winners of the 2023 Volunteers in Sport Awards proudly supported by the National Network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships.
The County Tipperary award for 2022 has been awarded to Niall O’Sullivan of Clonmel AC.

In celebration of Women in Sports Week 6th - 12th March 2023 Tipperary Sports Partnership supported by Sports Ireland Coaching will deliver a Coaching Girls in Sport Workshop on Tuesday March 7th 7.00pm-10.00pm

This workshop has been developed by Sport Ireland Coaching to provide a professional development opportunity for coaches working in the area of sport and physical activity, and is specifically aimed at those coaching girls aged 12 – 17.

At Tipperary LSP, we have enjoyed working with over 11,000 participants throughout 2022.

Over the course of the year, we carried out over 218 targeted physical activity programmes, courses, and events which included 856 participants with disabilities, 8,799 young people and 1,364 adults.

The Sports Partnership successfully secured in excess of €720,000 in funding to support the delivery of its programmes and initiatives in Tipperary.

Kick Fit Soccer Programme.

The Tipperary Town Community Sports Hub is delighted to host a Kick Fit Soccer Programme with the FAI at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre.
This is a Social Soccer 6 Week Programme for women of any ability.
If want to return to soccer, try it out or bring a friend along to a social setting with physical activity then this is the programme for you.
This programme starts on Tuesday March 7th.
It runs from 7pm - 8pm

Age & Opportunity Active National Grant Scheme
