First Aid for Sports Clubs (REC 1).

Tipperary Sports Partnership are delighted to facilitate a First Aid Course for Sports Clubs (REC 1).
This course is designed to provide first aid skills to people working or operating in a rural/remote and sports environments.
REC 1 will provide participants with the lifesaving skills, knowledge and confidence to deal with first aid in realistic sport settings.
This course will cover: Health Safety and Welfare, Principles of First Aid, Vital Signs, Basic Body Organs and Function, Safety, Casualty Care,

Dragon Boat Taster

Join us for an exhilarating Dragon Boating Taster Session!!. Discover the power, teamwork, and excitement of this ancient Chinese sport on Saturday March, 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Our event will take place in the beautiful location of Irishtown, Clonmel.

Dragon boating is not only a fantastic way to stay fit and active, but it's also a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded people and form lasting friendships. No prior experience is necessary, as our experienced instructors will guide you through the basics and ensure your safety.

Coaching Teenage Girls in Sport Workshop.

In celebration of Women in Sports Week 4th - 10th March 2024 Tipperary Sports Partnership supported by Sports Ireland Coaching will deliver a Coaching Teenage Girls in Sport Workshop on Thursday March 7th 7.00pm-10.00pm via zoom.

This workshop has been developed by Sport Ireland Coaching to provide a professional development opportunity for coaches working in the area of sport and physical activity, and is specifically aimed at those coaching girls aged 12 – 17.

Sport Inclusion and Disability Awareness Workshop

Tipperary Sports Partnership is delighted to present, in association with Active Disability Ireland, a Sport Inclusion and Disability Awareness Online Workshop.
This workshop is for those who coach, teach or instruct those with disabilities.
This Online Workshop will take place on Monday the 26th of February, 2024 from 7pm - 8.30pm.

Paddy Doyle announced as the 2023 County Tipperary recipient of the Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards.

Paddy Doyle of Moyne Athletics Club has been named as the 2023 County Tipperary recipient of The Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards.

These awards are supported by the National Network of 26 Local Sports Partnerships.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown on Thursday 29th February 2024.

The County Tipperary award for 2023 has been awarded to Paddy Doyle of Moyne Athletics Club.

Sport Ireland was recently joined by the Minister of State for Sport and Physical Education, Thomas Byrne TD, to announce the development of a new Policy on Volunteering in Sport, which advances a vision for a sport sector in Ireland that has the best volunteering culture in the world.

Safeguarding Spring Schedule 2024

Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating a Child Welfare & Protection in Sport Basic Awareness Training.
The course is aimed at sports leaders, children’s officers, parents or anyone working with young people in sport.
A central goal for all those involved in sport for young people is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children can develop and enhance their physical and social skills.

Minister Byrne launches Code of Conduct Template for Irish Sports

Code of Conduct Template for Irish Sports.
Minister of State for Sport and Physical Education, Thomas Byrne T.D., today (10th August 2023) launched the national code of conduct template developed by Sport Ireland for Irish sports.

In response to several high-profile incidents, Sport Ireland partnered with representatives from the Irish sports sector, including referees and officials, to develop a template for a code of conduct for sport in Ireland.

At Tipperary LSP, we have enjoyed working with over 11,000 participants throughout 2022.

Over the course of the year, we carried out over 218 targeted physical activity programmes, courses, and events which included 856 participants with disabilities, 8,799 young people and 1,364 adults.

The Sports Partnership successfully secured in excess of €720,000 in funding to support the delivery of its programmes and initiatives in Tipperary.

Safeguarding 3 - Designated Liaison Person (DLP) Workshop

Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating a Designated Liaison Person (DLP) Workshop via zoom on Monday 25th March, 2024 from 6.00-9.00pm.
The third part of the Sport Ireland Child Welfare & Protection Training Programme is the Designated Liaison Person workshop also known as Safeguarding 3.
Every club/organisation should designate a person to be responsible for dealing with any concerns about the protection of children.

Tug of War. Pulling your Community together.

Tug of War Ireland (TOWI) is the National Governing body for Tug of War in the Republic of Ireland. They have just launched a new community initiative in line with their Strategic Plan to try to promote tug of war within communities. In the interests of supporting this initiative they have also launched funding for these new community clubs once set up, terms and conditions apply.
