How to Train as a Midlife Woman.

Tipperary Sports Partnership are facilitating a workshop on Mastering Midlife for Woman.
This workshop will provide you with practical solutions and science based strategies for active women and to help those who wish to continue to perform as you age.
It will discuss the areas of menopause, nutrition and exercise.
Workshop Content
· Answering the big question ‘why does exercise feel so hard’
· Making exercise choices – how different types of training benefit you or feel really hard – Why is this?

Spring Safeguarding 2025

Tipperary Sports Partnership is facilitating a Child Welfare & Protection in Sport Basic Awareness Training.
The course is aimed at sports leaders, children’s officers, parents or anyone working with young people in sport.
A central goal for all those involved in sport for young people is to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children can develop and enhance their physical and social skills.

Volunteer in Sport Awards 2024.

Double Olympic hurdler Sarah Lavin was on hand to lend her voice to the launch of the 2024 Volunteers in Sport Awards, a national celebration of the extraordinary individuals who contribute to the vibrant fabric of Irish sports.
Hosted by the Federation of Irish Sport and supported by the National Network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships these prestigious awards recognise the selfless volunteers who dedicate their time, skills, and passion to support sports clubs and community organisations across Ireland.

MOVE-EMBER

Men over 45 come and join us for a fun and energetic class to kickstart your fitness journey at the Dundrum Community Hall.
Get ready to sweat it out with our workout sessions led by an experienced trainer.
Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just starting out, there's something for everyone at Move-Ember.
This Fitness class is every Wednesday in November from 7-8pm.
Don't miss this opportunity to move, groove and have a blast with like-minded individuals.

Social Basketball

*Programme Update* Three weeks left November 20th, 27th and December 4th
As part of the Her Moves initiative Tipperary Sports Partnership and Tipperary Knights are launching a 10-week Social Basketball Programme for teenage girls in 4th, 5th and 6th year.
It will take place at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre, Tipperary Town.
This 10 week programme is perfect for those who haven’t been involved in much sport before and are looking to get active, have fun, and make new friends.
It's designed to inspire and support more teenage girls to be active.

Swimmin Women 2024

TSP Swimmin Women 8 Week Swimming Programme
Are you ready for a challenge for 2024?
Looking for something to help you get fit, improve your ability in water.
Why not join up for the 8 Week Swimmin Women Programme.
This programme will be running in 5 Pools across Tipperary.
This is an excellent programme to make you a better swimmer or get back into the water if you haven't had a chance in a while.
All participants must be able to swim 2 full lengths of a 25m pool.

Programme Manager.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position:

Programme Manager (Specific purpose contract circa 3 years)

Starting pay for all new entrants will be at the minimum of the scale

Depending on the number of applications received for the above post, shortlisting of candidates may be necessary. Shortlisting will be based on the information on your application form. A panel may be formed from which vacancies arising during the lifetime of the panel may be filled

Community Sports Hub Development Officer

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position:

Community Sports Hub Development Officer (Specific purpose contract for 1 Year 3 days per week)
(based in Tipperary Town)

Starting pay for all new entrants will be at the minimum of the scale

Her Outdoors Week 12th-18th August 2024

PADDLE SISTERS

As part of her outdoors week we would like you to
join us for this teenage girl only kayaking camp starting Monday the 12th of August.
It will be four fun filled action packed days where you will learn to kayak under the watchful guidance of qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors.
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced paddler, this camp is for you.
This camp is for girls between the ages of 13 -17.

TSP are delighted to team up with Tipp FM for a Couch to 5K Challenge and are looking for volunteers to take part.

You'll be transformed from a couch potato to a 5K champion in just eight weeks.

Paddy Doyle selected as Tipperary recipient of the Volunteer in Sport Award for 2023

Congratulations to Paddy Doyle of Moyne Athletic Club who was selected by The Federation of Irish Sport as the Tipperary recipient of the Volunteer in Sport Award for 2023
Tipperary Sports Partnership were delighted to support this event with the National Network of Local Sport Partnerships.

Paddy Doyle announced as the 2023 County Tipperary recipient of the Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards.

Paddy Doyle of Moyne Athletics Club has been named as the 2023 County Tipperary recipient of The Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards.

These awards are supported by the National Network of 26 Local Sports Partnerships.

The awards ceremony will take place at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown on Thursday 29th February 2024.

The County Tipperary award for 2023 has been awarded to Paddy Doyle of Moyne Athletics Club.

New Sport Ireland Volunteering In Sport Policy Launched

New Sport Ireland Volunteering in Sport Policy launched
Sport Ireland was recently joined by the Minister of State for Sport and Physical Education, Thomas Byrne TD, to announce the development of a new Policy on Volunteering in Sport, which advances a vision for a sport sector in Ireland that has the best volunteering culture in the world.
