Orienteering is the sport of navigation that requires you to find your way from one point to another using only a map, your brains and sometimes a compass. It’s easy to learn and a fun way to exercise your body and mind, as you enjoy the outdoors. It’s a sport for everyone and is something that can be easily learnt by people of all ages and abilities.

Orienteering is usually done in the woods, hills or parks, with the participants on foot and it develops many skills including problem solving, team work, decision making and self awareness. It really is fun for all the family.

Tipperary Sports Partnership, in association with SEVO (South East Viking Orienteering Club) and Orienteering Ireland across County Tipperary. We have developed MapRun courses in Fethard, Clonmel, Thurles, Cahir and Carrick-OnSuir.
Our aim is that schools, community groups, families and individuals will try out this exciting, inclusive sport. We encourage you to use these permanent courses and download the maps to create your own. Any queries email development@orienteering.ie
